Experience an Anxiety-Free Visit to Your Dentist

At Dentiq Dentistry, we live by the following words: “take great care of great people”. We take this mission to heart and want each of our patients to experience not just great oral health, but also the highest level of comfort possible. With over 16 years in this practice, our Houston dentists know that many individuals forego dental treatments due to a deep-seated fear of going to the dentist. Whether this fear is rooted from a childhood trauma or due to a previous dentist appointment that went bad, we provide a variety of sedation dentistry methods to help you with your anxiety. Our sedation dentistry involves the use of prescription medications that produce effects ranging from thorough relaxation to drowsiness to complete unconsciousness.

Depending on your level of anxiety, our sedation methods include:

  • Nitrous oxide– Commonly known as laughing gas, this sedation method makes you feel more relaxed while receiving your dental treatment
  • Oral sedation– A prescription anxiety medication that is taken an hour before your dental procedure and keeps you calm and relaxed all throughout your dental procedure
  • IV conscious sedationis a combination of medicines administered through IV to help you relax and  (a sedative) and to block pain (an anesthetic) during a medical or dental procedure.  Patient is still responsive throughout the procedure.  This level of sedation is designed to “take the edge off.”
  • General Anesthesia – administered by a Board Certified Anesthesiologist. Under general anesthesia, you are completely unconscious and unable to feel pain during medical/dental procedures

Dedicated to Keeping You Safe & Comfortable

If you choose to undergo our sedation dentistry, our Houston dentists will have to know your medical history including any underlying medical conditions you may have. We take into careful consideration your overall health before we recommend the most suitable sedation method for you. We also fully explain to you any risk factors including certain steps and precautions that you need to take either before or after your procedure.
